ChairmanFounder and Chairman of Praesignis, Johan is a visionary and business leader. Since its inception in 2006, Praesignis has seen tremendous growth over the years, growing organically and expanding its services and product portfolio. In 2015 the sub-brands were launched, with five Signis business units of expertise namely, Datasignis, Intellisignis, Edusignis, Talentsignis, and Caresignis, directed by specialists in their fields.
Johan is a Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Specialist with a passion for alignment and integration. He has +20 years technical IT experience and +9 years Management experience. He has extensive experience in crafting and delivering Data Warehousing and ODS solutions including ETL, Data modelling and Metadata. Johan is highly skilled in Cognos Business Intelligence development tools, and Enterprise Business Intelligence methodologies, as well as Data Quality Management.
CEOGawie Erasmus has a successful track record of more than 20 years in leading and transforming businesses, finance teams and delivering complex operational and IT solutions in South Africa, across the African continent and internationally. He has held various leadership positions in companies such as KPMG, CS Holdings (now Bytes Technologies), Silverbridge and Afrocentric.
Gawie has recently been the Chief Executive Officer of the Pharma division for the listed company Afrocentric Health. His portfolio included three companies: Pharmacy Direct – a courier pharmacy (Aug 2015 to Aug 2017), Curasana – a pharmaceutical wholesaler (Aug 2015 to Aug 2017) and Activo Health – a pharmaceutical company with generic medication (Jan 2014 to Aug 2017).
By joining Praesignis, Gawie is returning to the IT industry where he has spent most of his career, after completing his articles with KPMG in 1998, as CEO of SDT Financial Software Solutions and heading up the JD Edwards division for CS Holdings (now Bytes Technologies).
CTO and Head of DatasignisFrans has +20 years’ experience in IT Hardware and Software environments with extensive experience in all phases of software solution design, development, implementation and Project Management. He has +12 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Performance Management and Data Warehousing. Frans has a personal focus on, and passion for Strategic Management. He is an experienced feature and keynote speaker, and has spoken at numerous events globally. He was the founder of the IBM BA Architecture Work Group that developed the architectures for all the IBM BA products and solutions, and he initiated many new developments and product improvements at IBM.
Ruan de Beer
Divisional Manager - IntellisignisRuan has +24 years experience as a proven IT specialist in Software development, IT and Project Management. Ruan has a PRINCE2 Project Management qualification and holds a major in Accounting. He has extensive experience in Business Analyics, Data Analytics, specialising in Predictive Maintenance and Quality, Risk and Fraud analytics and Predictive Customer Intelligence, as well as Data Warehouse Design and implementation. He has developed extensive BI roadmaps and strategies. Ruan further specialises in Data Visualization related tools and techniques like Tableau, and has successfully completed a Tableau accreditation.
Divisional Manager - TalentsignisKarin provides her customers with sustainable end-to-end performance management solutions that will enable them to increase performance and profitability throughout their organizations. Karin is accredited by APSO (Association of Personnel Services Organization) and has been in the recruitment industry for over 19 years. She specializes in Information Management, Business Intelligence, Training, Recruitment, IT, Executive, Industrial, Engineering, Financial, Manufacturing, Office Staff, Technical , Government and Medical placements as well as Business Development, HR Coaching, Recruitment and Selection Management. Divisional Manager - EdusignisPhillané is a qualified teacher and has +7 years experience in training high school students and young adults, as well as facilitating and assessing for and private companies. Phillané has a natural inclination to mentor and runs the company’s Internship and Skills Development Programme. She is passionate about training and finds it extremely rewarding to pass on her knowledge, developing and transferring skills to anyone willing to learn challenging yet much needed skills. Phillané aims to train and assist her students with gaining the industry skills and confidence they need to be successful in their chosen careers.
Marketing ManagerLiesl is a skilled marketing specialist with a successful track record +19 years’ experience in the Marketing industry. She has extensive exposure to end to end Marketing, Events and Cause Marketing, including, digital marketing, campaign development, brand development, and social media management. Liesl’s unique creative ideas and ability to conceptualise and develop comprehensive, well rounded marketing campaigns are her core strengths. She has the ability to market and build a brand, achieving great successes in attaining market presence and brand affinity.
Business Development ExecutiveAs a skilled Business Development professional, June has more than 15 years’ experience working in both the Corporate and Public sector. Her past experience in various industries, occupying roles such as Customer Relations Management, Key Account Management, Sourcing and Business Development professional, renders her uniquely qualified to penetrate and on-board new clients, as well as the selling additional products/solutions and services to existing clients. Her dynamic and outgoing personality is one of her greatest strengths. She is able to cultivate strong relationships with high level executive management, forging networks between client and sales/technical consultants to facilitate business development. She is a persuasive communicator, able to speak to clients in terms they understand, thus building the case for the brand she represents. Demonstrated track record in assessing the needs of potential and existing clientele allowing her to come up with innovative and creative strategies and solutions.
