Since its inception in 2006, Praesignis has seen tremendous growth over the years, growing organically and expanding our services and product portfolio.  In 2015 we launched our sub-brands, with five Signis business units of expertise namely, Datasignis, Intellisignis, Edusignis, Talentsignis, and Caresignis, directed by specialists in their fields.

With the growth of the company, Founder and CEO, Johan Ceronio, moves into the position of Chairman, focusing on the future vision and direction of the Praesignis Group.  Ceronio will be handing over the role of CEO and managing of the business to Gawie Erasmus.  The current Managing Director of Praesignis, Frans Vermaak, moves into a new role of CTO, focusing on new technologies, modern skills and developing disruptive innovations for new markets.

Gawie Erasmus has a successful track record of more than 20 years in leading and transforming businesses, finance teams and delivering complex operational and IT solutions in South   Africa, across the African continent and internationally. He has held various leadership positions in companies such as KPMG, CS Holdings (now Bytes Technologies), Silverbridge and Afrocentric.

Erasmus has recently been the Chief Executive Officer of the Pharma division for the listed company Afrocentric Health. His portfolio included three companies: Pharmacy Direct – a courier pharmacy (Aug 2015 to Aug 2017), Curasana – a pharmaceutical wholesaler (Aug 2015 to Aug 2017) and Activo Health – a pharmaceutical company with generic medication (Jan 2014 to Aug 2017).

By joining Praesignis, Erasmus is returning to the IT industry where he has spent most of his career, after completing his articles with KPMG in 1998, as CEO of SDT Financial Software Solutions and heading up the JD Edwards division for CS Holdings (now Bytes Technologies).
